River Lions Welcome Back Carl Hall

Released: October 04, 2017

St. Catharines, ON – The Niagara River Lions are thrilled to announce the re-signing of power forward, Carl Hall.

Hall, 6-foot-8, appeared in 24 games for the Niagara River Lions during the 2016-17 season, contributing 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in 26.4 minutes per game. He ranked third in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) field goal percentage, shooting an impressive 58.7%.

Now, in his second season with the River Lions, Coach Raso has full confidence that Hall will be a leader on and off the court.

“Carl is a worker who battles on the court in practice and in games. His leadership is by example. His experience and professionalism will be standard for the younger players,” said Raso.

The Georgia native is familiar with adversity. In 2007, Hall’s collegiate career was temporarily sidelined after being diagnosed with a heart condition. Despite being told he would never play basketball again, he went on to help Witchita State reach the Final Four just two years later.

After graduating from Witchita State, Hall spent time playing in Japan and France before arriving in Niagara.

“I’m excited to be back with the River Lions for another season,” commented Hall, “Last year was a learning experience, and I believe that we have some unfinished business to take care of. The entire organization has been working very hard during the off-season, and I can’t wait to return to the Meridian Centre to play in front of the best fans in the league”

The River Lions are set to tip-off the season when they return to the Meridian Centre on November 18th versus the London Lightning. Single game tickets go on sale October 11th. Contact the River Lions Front Office at 289-273-5905 or visit Ticketmaster to secure your seats today.
