River Lions Welcome Sitel as Their Latest Corporate Partner

Released: December 16, 2016

St. Catharines, Ontario – The Niagara River Lions get set to welcome their newest Corporate Partner, Sitel. The global outsourcing provider will team up with the River Lions in support of the team’s effort to combat the fight against women’s cancer. In fact, Sitel will be the presenting partner of the River Lions inaugural Cancer Awareness Night, at which all donated proceeds will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society’s efforts to combat the disease.

Sitel is very quick to support the communities in which it works. Sitel’s John Wall, commented, “At the beginning of the year, many of our associates continued to ask about Sitel Footprints and provided us feedback about our participation in the community and our opportunities. We heard those concerns and in 2016 we challenged ourselves to see what we could do differently in our community and Niagara. In the end, we contributed approximately, $12,000.00 to several local charities.”

John Wall went on to say, “for 2017, there is no better way to start the year, than to announce our partnership with the Niagara River Lions! We will be partnering with them to fundraise for a special cause that is near and dear to us here at Sitel and the Niagara Community,  The Canadian Cancer Society’s fight against women affected by Cancer.”

The River Lions couldn’t think of a better partner for such an event as they mentioned, “It is always a pleasure to see organization’s team up against a disease that has afflicted so many individuals across Canada. The River Lions are very proud to welcome Sitel on board for a game where the stakes will be higher than usual. This is a first class organization we are talking about – Sitel is an international agency, and for them to support locally is a true testament to their character and belief in the Niagara Region,” said Josh Knoester, Manager of Corporate Partnerships & Sales.

There is much more to come in regard to this charitable event! Please stay tuned on River Lions social media and at RiverLions.ca for more information as to how you can support this fight against women’s cancer.
