River Lions to Honour First Responders and Military at Hero’s Day, presented by Temporary Personnel Solutions

St. Catharines, ON - The Niagara River Lions have announced that they will honour the bravest men and women of the Niagara region when they host the Saint John Riptide on April 2nd for “Hero’s Day”, presented by Temporary Personnel Services (TPS). Tip-off is set for 2pm. 

The Hero’s Day Game, formerly known as First Responder’s Night, aims to pay tribute Niagara’s local heroes, including police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMT),  urgent care workers as well as local military. The River Lions will don special camouflage jerseys which fans will have an opportunity to bid on throughout the game. There will also be a momentous pre-game ceremony including search and rescue officers repelling from the Meridian Centre rafters and a special game ball delivery from the Niagara Regional Police.

The hard work and dedication of our first responders and military is worth our thanks every day, and we look forward to honoring them during Sunday’s game.” said Corporate Partnerships and Sales Manager, Josh Knoester, “With TPS on board as our Game Day Presenter we are hoping to build on our success from last year and continue to grow this great event.”
