Daniel Mullings will return to the River Lions for his third season with the club after playing for BK Klosterneuburg Dukes a professional basketball team in Austria. Daniel has built a stellar career overseas on his phenomenal defensive abilities and his playmaking on the offensive end – especially in the open floor where he excels with his combination of athleticism and decision making.
Waldin-Mullings brings a wealth of professional experience having played overseas in China, Germany, Finland, Israel, Belgium and now Austria. He brings energy, toughness, athleticism and competitiveness which has allowed him to excel on both ends of the floor.
Mullings also represented Canada during the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, helping the national team to a silver medal.
Prior to playing professionally, Mullings played college basketball at NCAA Division 1, New Mexico State where he averaged 13.1 points, 2.7 assists over his four years with the Aggies and was a starting guard for 4 consecutive NCAA Tournament Appearances. In his junior year he earned Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Player of the Year. Playing alongside now Toronto Raptor, Pascal Siakam in his senior year, Mullings was named to the All WAC First Team and All WAC Defensive Team. He holds the record as New Mexico State University’s all-time leader in career steals with 249, and 4th all time leading scorer with 1677 career points.
