Niagara River Lions and Meridian Team Up For “Local Business of the Game”
St. Catharines, ON – The Niagara River Lions and Meridian announced today that they have teamed up to recognize local businesses during the 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season. The “Local Business of the Game” initiative presented by Meridian, will aim to reward, and show appreciation for businesses who make up the backbone of the Niagara community.
Local businesses are encouraged to apply via an online form from now until May 23rd, after which (10) will be randomly selected. Winning businesses will each receive recognition through the River Lions social media channels and website in addition to being rewarded with (20) tickets to a 2022 home game during which they will receive in-game acknowledgment.
"Meridian has long been committed to serving, helping, and developing small businesses in Niagara,” said Matthew Johnston, Vice President of Business Development for the River Lions. “The River Lions are focused on our grassroots development and that is a special value that we share with Meridian, so we couldn't be more excited to continue that movement throughout the season with this unique opportunity to host and showcase the many different businesses that Niagara has to offer."
The River Lions and Meridian understand that many local businesses have faced hardships over the last couple of years, so this initiative was created to help bring together the Niagara community and allow businesses to not only receive recognition but also enjoy a much-deserved outing with their employees, families & friends.
